Over the years, Woofstock has been upgrading amenities to make the city a great place to live, play and work for all the residents. Development of a dog park shows that the community values furbabies residents. After the 2009 flood that destroyed the Walden apartment complex that the city decided to turn the property 360 degrees by building Woofstock Park in July 2013.

According the Woofstock director for Parks and Recreation:
“My favorite thing at the park is that we have a group of older gentlemen who meet up there every morning and visit while their dogs play,”
“There are a lot of groups that meet there at scheduled times.” he added
This is the only government operated dog park within the city, Woofstock has five-acre property that offers two off-leash play areas, one for smaller dogs that are under 30 pounds and one for larger dogs. The park offers an open greenspace, water fountains, public restrooms along with their wooden agility playing facilities for the dogs to enjoy during their play time. Shaded seating areas for owners are also available. The whole park is lit at nigh for visitor safety, as well.
With a connection for Noonday Creek Trail which is located conveniently to Creek trails and Town, dog parents can let their fur babies play in the park before taking off on a larger adventure through the nearby path. Noonday Creek is part of the city’s trail system that interconnects the downtown to Woofstock Dog Park. Owners can take their leashed dogs on a 10-15 minute walk to a nearby restaurant or brewery which are pet-friendly establishments.
