Olde Rope Mill Park

Olde Rope Mill Park is located on the northern part of the Outlet Shoppes in Woodstock. The Park is the home of the Taylor Randahl Memorial Mountain Bike Trails and other wonderful bike trails and hike trails. Some other activities include fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, picnic areas, park benches, swings with an overlooking view of the Little River, and a rock pavilion.

Many of the historical marks that highlight the history of the area are housed by Olde Rope Mill Park and Trails in Woodstock, Georgia. The Rope Mill is the primary producer of the cotton rope during the 1800s. Gristmills were powered by endless water flowing through the Little River, Etowah River, and Noonday Creek.

The Taylor Randahl Memorial Bike Trails

The trail is purpose-built for mountain bikes, divided into ten loops. Hikers are very much welcomed but must yield the bike trails and must remember to travel in an opposite direction from the bikes. Most of the trails are directional by day of the week:

Sun/Mon/Wed/Fri – Clockwise or “To the left”

Tue/Thu/Sat – Counter-Clockwise or “To the right”

Two trails, Moore’s Pass and Turbine are CLOCKWISE ONLY, every day.

The Mill Trails

Moore’s Pass – 0.5 Miles

This long, easy climb on a single-track will take you to the trails at The Mill and hints at the great experience waiting over the hill. Moore’s Pass is a trail heading for the area that they call The Know. It returns down to the access road on a fast, flowing downhill trail.

Powerhouse – 1.8 Miles

This is a signature tail at The Mill that was built with the same design as Powerhouse and Raceway that amplifies everything. The trail is narrower, higher, and faster. Serious air time will surely be experienced on the beautifully sculpted doubles that are scattered around the loop and rock garden. EZ Woodstock Junk Removal

Raceway – 1.8 Miles

A trail that can be ridden at any speed, by any level rider. Its wide and smooth trail dips and rolls then zig-zags that make it wonderful for its push tempo hit the optional features and you’ll get a bigger return.

Turbine – 1.0 Miles

The turbine is CLOCKWISE ONLY a tight, twisty one-way track that winds the spring as every rider will head out from The Know just to reach the peak of the park above the Rope Mill historical highlights. It opens up on the descent. An optional armored rock drop marks the end of the track as it passes seamlessly into the return track of Moore’s Pass.
